UK cruise brand Ambassador Cruise Line is set to complete a merger with French operator Compagnie Française de Croisières (CFC).
This will become the newly created Ambassador Group – a ‘premium affordable value’ cruise line targeting the mature over-55s market.
The two companies will continue to operate independently in their respective markets.
It will give the Ambassador Group a fleet of three ships.
Ambassador’s Ambience and Ambition is joined by CFC’s Renaissance which is currently undergoing a drydock upgrade.
From October 2025, the cruise lines will offer Caribbean homeporting in Barbados, Martinique and Curacao for fly-cruise customers.
“The combination of Ambassador and CFC is a bold step towards our shared vision for the cruise industry,” says Christian Verhounig, Ambassador CruiLine CEO.
Maëlysse Pierrot-Guibourt, chief executive of CFC, added: “CFC is a new and growing French brand, and this merger with Ambassador maximises synergies.
