Hospitality Technology Advisory targets simplicity with new hire

Hospitality Technology Advisory has appointed Scarlett Foster to the role of technical delivery manager. Foster’s focus includes simplification and automation as she works with hotel clients for the newly-launched group.

She joins HTA from Soho House, where she was digital support manager in charge of a team across Europe. Foster’s previous experience includes more than three years at science and engineering centre the National Physical Laboratory, with the final two years as a business applications analyst.

Foster said: “My career has seen me working in both hospitality and for the scientific community and I have learned that, at my foundation, I want to automate everything so that it is simple and smooth for the user. I want there to be a single source of truth, with everything centralised and I think everyone can benefit from that. Operationally, if you take this approach you can see that you’re making people’s lives easier, helping them really use the technology to its full potential and allowing them to work more effectively and make a real difference.”

Kevin Edwards, HTA CEO, said: “We knew as soon as we met Scarlett that she was perfect for the role. She puts herself at the centre of a process and works to make it clear and accessible for everyone. Scarlett shares our vision of combining sector knowledge with a thorough understanding of a business to create efficient, profitable operations and we are excited to have someone of her experience and calibre in the role.”

HTA was launched in early November by Edwards and Simon Kaye, hotel sector veterans who have identified an opportunity to align technology more closely with properties’ needs.

The company operates globally, across branded and unbranded properties.
