The multi-island destination is nominated for the following:
- World’s Leading Beach Destination
- World’s Leading Romance Destination
- World’s Leading Island Destination
In July, the Turks and Caicos Islands won the Caribbean’s Leading Romance Destination and Caribbean’s Leading Beach Destination in the regional category of the World Travel Awards.
Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Josephine Connolly, said:
“This latest nomination for the destination is further testimony to the lasting imprint we have left on those who visit our shores, either as repeat or first-time visitors. With our 2024 arrival numbers surpassing those of 2023 in every month, there are more and more people experiencing the unparalleled beauty, culture, cuisine, and diverse range of experiences our collection of islands has to offer. These nominations are particularly important as it positions us not just with the Caribbean but the entire world. These are the highest in the World Travel Awards programme, and it would be a great honour to win, so please vote, vote, vote!”
Voting for the World Travel Awards runs until October 20th, 2024. Votes can be cast by travel professionals, media, and tourism consumers, with the nominee gaining the most votes in each category announced as the 2024 World Travel Awards winner.
Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on November 28th, 2024, in Madeira, Portugal
