Regent Seven Seas Cruises®, renowned as the world’s leading ultra-luxury cruise line, has officially begun construction on its latest vessel, Seven Seas Prestige™. The momentous steel-cutting ceremony, marking the start of the ship’s creation, was held today at the Fincantieri-Marghera shipyard in Venice, Italy. Seven Seas Prestige™ is set to elevate the concept of luxury cruising to new heights, promising a voyage experience that redefines elegance and sophistication.

Seven Seas Prestige represents a new era for Regent Seven Seas Cruises as we once again elevate standards in ultra luxury, all-inclusive vacations,” said Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “We are delighted to continue our long-established relationship with Fincantieri, a storied name in shipbuilding. This talented team will deliver a ship that transcends luxury, exuding elegance and refinement, while radiating sophistication in every way, from bow to stern.”

“We are proud to partner with Regent Seven Seas Cruises on what will be a revolutionary ship for the ultra-luxury cruise industry,” said Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager of the Fincantieri Merchant Ships Division. “With our long history of building first-class vessels and Regent’s heritage in delivering unrivaled luxury travel experiences, we are excited to begin work on Seven Seas Prestige.”

The steel cutting ceremony for Seven Seas Prestige™, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ newest ultra-luxury ship, was attended by key industry leaders. Among them were Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises; Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.; Patrik Dahlgren, Executive Vice President of Vessel Operations for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.; Francesco Semeraro, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations at Regent Seven Seas Cruises; and Alberico Trivellone, Senior Vice President of Newbuild and Refurbishment at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

Being built by the renowned shipbuilder Fincantieri, Seven Seas Prestige™ will set a new benchmark in the cruise industry with an impressive space-to-guest ratio, offering unrivaled luxury. It will introduce innovative experiences, including a reimagined Regent Suite, new accommodation categories, fresh dining concepts, and more. These enhancements will emphasize the cruise line’s hallmark of The Most Inclusive Luxury Experience®.

Scheduled for delivery in 2026, Seven Seas Prestige™ will be the first of two ships in Regent’s new Prestige-Class, the company’s first new class in a decade, following the highly successful Explorer-Class ships launched in 2016, 2020, and 2023, all built by Fincantieri.
