Korean Air to launch Seoul Incheon-Fuzhou route

(Seoul, October 24, 2024) - Korean Air will launch a new service from Seoul Incheon to Fuzhou, China from December 28, 2024. The route will operate three times a week–on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays–offering passengers greater convenience and accessibility to this vibrant destination.

The outbound flight from Seoul Incheon will depart at 8:40 am, arriving at Fuzhou Changle International Airport at 10:30 am. The return flight will leave Fuzhou at 11:40 am and arrive back at Seoul Incheon at 3:35 pm. The flight time will be approximately two hours and 50 minutes.

Fuzhou, the capital of China’s Fujian province, is known as the “City of Blessings,” reflecting the meaning behind its name. With 58% of its area covered by forest, the city offers fresh air and a pleasant climate, making it a great destination for travelers. Even in winter, temperatures stay mild, ranging from 10 to 15°C, positioning Fuzhou as an emerging destination for winter golf tourism.

Fuzhou’s 2,200-year heritage has earned it the prestigious designation as a “National Famous Historical and Cultural City” by the Chinese government. Visitors can explore the city’s exceptionally preserved ancient architecture and cultural sites. At the heart of the city lies the historic Sanfang Qixiang (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys) district that captures the essence of traditional Chinese urban design. The region is also home to Mount Wuyi, ranked among China’s top ten mountains and widely regarded as southeast China’s premier scenic destination, and the Qingyun Mountain Hot Springs, renowned for their therapeutic waters and spectacular mountain vistas.

The launch of the Fuzhou service is part of Korean Air’s ongoing expansion in China, where the airline continues to strengthen its network to meet growing travel demand. It follows the carrier’s recent service enhancements, including daily flights on its Incheon-Xiamen route from October 1, and resumption of four weekly flights to Kunming from October 14.
