ANGUILLA TOURIST BOARD TARGETS MEETING & INCENTIVE PLANNERS AT IMEX AMERICA 2024

 

The Valley, Anguilla, October 17, 2024:  The Anguilla Tourist Board, in conjunction with the Sint Maarten and Saint-Martin Tourist Offices, joined forces in a collaborative presentation at IMEX America 2024 in Las Vegas from October 8 – 10, 2024. 

 
Known as the heartbeat of the global business events industry, IMEX America is the largest trade show for the global meetings, events and incentive travel industry. The three-day program offers specialist education, networking and much more, on and off the trade show floor. This year’s show attracted over 3,500 global decision-makers and 3,300 exhibitors from more than 180 countries.
 
“The collaboration between Anguilla, St. Martin, and St. Maarten as a hub forms a key part of our marketing strategy for 2024,” stated Ms. Kimberly King, Chief Marketing Officer for the Anguilla Tourist Board.  “By leveraging our proximity as neighbors, we aimed to increase our visibility at this major tradeshow and showcase the unique strengths and added value of each destination through cross-promotion.  Building relationships with international event planners, travel advisors, and corporate travel departments is also essential to this task, and underscores the importance of having a strong presence at IMEX America.”
 
Each island destination invited two stakeholder partners to exhibit with them at the show. The Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club and the Lagoon Group, a destination management company that creates unique and authentic experiences for large and small groups, were the destination partners for Anguilla. Over the three days, the delegation collectively hosted 120 meetings with high-quality buyers from a variety of sectors. The three tourist offices also conducted a joint webinar in the week following their IMEX meetings, to nurture and further develop the relationships with the qualified leads acquired at the trade show.
