Tourism Authority of Thailand Unveils Unforgettable Thai Experiences in Medan, Jakarta, and Bali, Igniting Powerful Travel Connections with Indonesia

The Tourism Authority of Thailand showcases unforgettable experiences in Medan, Jakarta, and Bali, strengthening travel ties and sparking excitement among Indonesian travelers.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is bringing the “Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2024” to three key cities—Medan, Jakarta, and Bali—with the goal of solidifying Thailand’s status as the top travel destination for Indonesian tourists.

The roadshow kicks off tomorrow, September 17, in Medan, followed by Jakarta on September 18, and wraps up in Bali on September 20.

Accompanying TAT will be a group of 18 tourism providers from Thailand, including hotels, airlines, local tour companies, attractions, and golf courses. The event will also welcome over 100 travel agents from the three Indonesian cities.

The one-day event will feature key activities like Thailand product presentations, Business-to-Business (B2B) networking sessions, and a dinner event with exciting lucky draw prizes.

The program is designed to introduce Indonesian travel agents to TAT’s “Amazing Thailand: Your Stories Never End” marketing campaign, highlighting the ‘Five-Must Do’ experiences in Thailand:

  • Must Taste – Indulge in the diverse and famous flavors of Thai cuisine
  • Must Try – Immerse in traditional culture and authentic local experiences
  • Must Buy – Shop for unique Thai fashion and handcrafted items
  • Must Seek – Discover new, hidden gems in Thailand’s emerging destinations
  • Must See – Feel the vibrant spirit of Thailand through its cultural festivals

The destinations featured in this showcase have been carefully selected by TAT and tourism partners to meet the preferences of Indonesian travelers. These include Bangkok and Beyond, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Phang-Nga, Krabi, Hat Yai and surrounding areas, and Ko Samui.

The Indonesian market has demonstrated significant growth in travel to Thailand. In 2023, a total of 760,938 Indonesian tourists visited Thailand. As of August 2024, the number has already reached 570,386, with projections pointing toward 900,000 visitors by year-end.

This optimistic outlook is fueled by TAT’s strategic marketing efforts and positive factors such as Indonesia’s strong economy, growing demand for international travel, and improved air connectivity between the two countries.
