ONYX Hospitality Group, a premier Thai hospitality management company under the Italthai Group, is excited to unveil the latest Prego restaurant, “Prego Kata,” in Phuket, Thailand. This marks the fourth establishment of the acclaimed Prego chain, celebrated for its genuine Italian dishes and inviting atmosphere. This new addition enriches Phuket’s dining landscape.
The newly opened “Prego Kata” features a design that embodies a cozy yet vibrant environment characteristic of Prego’s essence. Situated adjacent to the OZO Phuket, a beach resort also managed by ONYX Hospitality Group, the restaurant is perched on the second floor, offering diners picturesque views. The menu features faithful recreations of original recipes by Chef Marco Boscaini, executed with flair by Chef Marco Giannoni, the Italian chef at “Prego Kata.”
The opening ceremony of “Prego Kata” was graced by notable attendees such as Yuthachai Charanachitta, CEO of ONYX Hospitality Group; Deputy Governor of Phuket, Sattha Thongkham; and Lertchai Wangtrakuldee, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phuket Office. Both Chef Marco Boscaini, Corporate Chef of ONYX Hospitality Group and creator of the PREGO recipes, and Raghav Kochar, General Manager at OZO Phuket, celebrated the debut of this exciting new gastronomic venue.

To mark the opening of “Prego Kata,” Chef Marco Giannoni is set to showcase a special Porchetta dish at “Cicchetti Night” every Friday, offering guests a taste of grilled pork belly prepared in a secretive Italian style. The event also features Italian cuisine, drinks, and live music, providing a complete and enjoyable dining experience.
At “Prego Kata,” guests can savor a range of traditional Italian favorites. Signature dishes include Ossobuco alla Milanese, a Milanese specialty of slow-cooked veal shanks served over saffron risotto, and Grigliata di pesce, featuring an assortment of grilled Mediterranean seafood. The menu also highlights Filetto di manzo, grilled beef tenderloin with asparagus and truffle mushroom sauce. For dessert, the restaurant offers Chef Marco Boscaini’s special Tiramisu, among over a hundred other Italian culinary delights.
