Over 13,000 Rotary members and participants from 120+ countries are set to convene in Singapore from May 25 to May 29, 2024, for the annual gathering of this membership service organization. Anticipated to generate more than 20,000 hotel room nights, the convention will also provide a boost to food & beverage establishments, retailers, and attractions.
Rotary’s conventions rotate to different cities each year, acting as a central meeting point for members and participants to network, learn from one another, and engage with experts on community issues.
Often likened to a “mini-United Nations” by attendees, the convention will enliven the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands, becoming a vibrant hub and cultural melting pot. Volunteers from around the world, known as Participants, will find motivation from more than 100 humanitarian initiatives showcased, alongside talks by esteemed speakers.
Singaporeans keen on understanding Rotary’s positive global impact can acquire a one-day pass to Rotary’s House of Friendship project exhibition at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. This event, co-hosted by Rotary International and local members, not only showcases Singapore’s tourist gems but also offers a glimpse into Singapore’s hospitality, culinary delights, and rich culture. One highlight is the exclusive opening of Singapore’s GastroBeats festival, a celebration of food, music, and community, reserved solely for Rotary members and participants on May 25.
Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, this Rotary International Convention marks the event’s second return to Singapore since 1999.
