At the 7th annual GM Conclave held in Cygnett Style Jaipur, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts unveiled their theme ‘Aggrandize Hospitality Cygnett Horizons 2024’. The event served as a crucial forum for discussing the company’s strategic growth initiatives and transformative trends in the hospitality sector.

Founder and Managing Director Mr Sarbendra Sarkar shared that Cygnett is on track to open 15 new hotels and 1200 keys over the next year, with ten currently under the project & pre-opening stage. This expansion aligns with the company’s vision of innovation and cultural transformation. The new properties opening in June, July and August, such as Cozzet Deera in Sonipat (41 keys), Cozzet Mahad (Mahad Maharashtra industrial area) (60 keys), and Cygnett Inn Airport in Jaipur (45 keys), represent the company’s commitment to meeting growing demands and maintaining high hospitality standards. Cygnett also plans to hire over 1,000 hospitality professionals and establish the Cygnett Learning Academy to address the current talent shortage and train new aspirants. Cygnett Hotel and Resort was ranked second in new hotel signings in 2023, according to a report released by HVS.

At the event, Mr Sarkar emphasised the importance of cultural transformation and innovation as the driving forces behind the company’s expansion. He noted that the rapid growth of domestic tourism and rising ADRs provide a promising outlook for the hospitality sector. He reiterated the company’s optimism about India’s hospitality prospects as it leverages increased government focus on infrastructure to bolster its growth.

Cygnett’s dedication to environmental stewardship was a key highlight, with the launch of their Sustainable Plan 2025. This initiative focuses on incorporating energy-efficient technologies, water conservation practices, effective waste management, and enhanced transportation solutions, aiming to meet international sustainability benchmarks and showcasing their commitment to eco-friendly hospitality.

A major focus of the conclave was on technological advancement, with Cygnett emphasizing the role of digital innovation, especially artificial intelligence (AI), in improving guest service and operational effectiveness. They announced plans to introduce a mobile application for reservations and customer relationship management to simplify guest interactions.

Mr. Shyam Bhethanabotla, the company’s Chief Technology Officer, commented, “AI algorithms will empower staff and improve guest interactions through voice recognition and translation, offering personalised recommendations and experiences. Integrating AI would transform business operations while maintaining a blend of technology and tradition.”

The company is making significant investments in digital advancements to enhance customer experiences and streamline hotel operations. Plans include the development of mobile applications for bookings and guest services, along with the integration of smart technologies throughout their properties. These AI-powered tools are set to boost efficiency, enhance guest satisfaction, and optimize overall operations.

Additionally, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts announced the rollout of Cygnett LMS & Cygnett HRMS—advanced Learning Management and Human Resources Management systems. These platforms are designed to sharpen competitive advantages in staff engagement and professional development, ensuring a highly motivated and skilled workforce aligned with the company’s objectives.

The GM Conclave concluded with an awards ceremony, celebrating the outstanding performance of Cygnett’s hotels, General Managers, and corporate teams. This event underscored their commitment to excellence in guest services, innovative operations, and leadership within the hospitality industry.
