Marella Cruises has announced it is cancelling its entire 2024/2025 Asia and Middle East cruise schedules because of the ongoing security uncertainty in the Red Sea
The cruise line says all Middle East and Asia cruises from 1 November to 30 April have been scrapped.
“We appreciate how disappointing this news will be and therefore all impacted customers will be contacted by their booking agent to discuss the options available,” a cruise line spokesperson said.
Marella is providing full refunds or the option to rebook with a £200 per guest discount.
“We apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience to customers and we hope to see them on board a Marella cruise very soon”.
The security situation around shipping through the Red Sea remains tense with numerous cruise lines skipping the region.
Virgin Voyages recently cancelled its winter 2024/25 season on Resilient Lady, which was to return to Australia for a second season.
It has also impacted several world cruise voyages for this year and 2025.
