The ship is undergoing a full refurbishment ahead of its launch as Margaritaville at Sea Islander in June 2024. The 2,650-passenger ship will sail out of Tampa on four and five-night Caribbean cruises. Port calls include Key West, Cozumel, and Progreso, Mexico.
“Since we launched our first ship last year, we’ve been working to expand what our guests have been asking for longer itineraries and new ports of call,” said Margaritaville at Sea CEO Christopher Ivy. “We are also pleased to add Tampa as a new homeport – the perfect location to provide access to our adventurous new itineraries.”
Ship interiors are being renovated in Europe, with a full makeover planned for its 1,100 staterooms. They will have new furnishings and bedding exuding Margaritaville’s island style. Categories include Breezy Balcony staterooms, Grand Terrace Suites, and Islander suites.
The ship will have a 14-story atrium and signature Margaritaville amenities like Paradise Pickleball, Cheeseburger in Paradise, and Rita’s Taco House.
