There is a new upscale option for that next long weekend break in Marrakech.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation officially opened Park Hyatt Marrakech, marking the debut of the Park Hyatt brand in Morocco.
It boosts the brand’s Africa presence, joining Park Hyatt Zanzibar and the upcoming Park Hyatt Johannesburg, slated for 2025.
Located about nine miles from Marrakech’s historic Medina district, the Marrakech hotel resort is situated in an off-the-beaten path setting at the base of the Atlas Mountains.
Surrounded by palm and olive trees, Park Hyatt Marrakech sits adjacent to the Al Maaden Golf resort, offering guests convenient access to the 18-hole course.
Park Hyatt Marrakech has a distinctly residential, stylish take on Arab-Berber heritage.
It blends authentic design with contemporary art.
The layout comprises 16 pavilions around a central patio.
“The property has been a highly anticipated addition to our portfolio as Morocco receives a resurgence of interest as a top tier cultural destination,” said Javier Águila, group president EAME, Hyatt.
“Park Hyatt Marrakech provides guests an enviable opportunity to discover the beauty of the Red City through this modern sanctuary.”
The Marrakech hotel houses 130 guestrooms and suites, a variety of dining options, a 23,000+-square-feet spa and ample meeting and events space.
“We have created a refined home-away-from home that unlocks unparalleled enrichment for guests,” said hotel GM Pascal Leprou.
