Travel management company Navan has launched its new expense platform, Navan Connect, in Europe and the UK
Introduced in the US earlier this year, the new technology links the TMC’s expense management tools to Mastercard and Visa corporate cards.
The platform allows users of Navan Expense to add tools such as smart policy controls and auto-itemisation to their current corporate cards.
Expenses can be checked against policy, categorised and reconciled as soon as an enrolled corporate card is swiped, according to a statement by the TMC, formerly known as TripActions until its recent rebrand.
“Since launching in the US, customer demand for this product has been incredible — companies love the automation of Navan Expense, but are happy to keep their existing corporate cards and minimise change management,” said Michael Sindicich, EVP and general manager of Navan Expense, which launched in Europe in December 2021.
“Bringing Navan Connect to Europe will make it easy for multinational companies with offices in the region,” he added.
Navan said the platform will now be linked to more than 40 UK and European banks and will allow multinational companies in the region to “localise and scale their travel and expense programmes” while maintaining visibility and control.
Johanna Waara, senior vice president of commercial solutions, Europe, Mastercard, said the company is “committed to working with innovative partners” in order to “enhance the T&E user experience”.
“As more businesses seek convenience in managing travel and expense reports, we’re excited to offer our corporate cardholders a seamless way to access Navan’s expense management platform through our Connect integration, powered by Mastercard technology,” she added.
