Thailand presumes attracting 2.9 million tourism influxes and billions of bucks in income from a Chinese tourism explosion.
This is due to a new five-month holiday time visa exception scheme, which is inclusive of a proposal to help reinforce the country’s shaky financial retrieval.
By now, the Southeast Asian country has witnessed a robust reaction following a transitory exemption of visas for mainland tourists from Sept. 25 till next February.
Over 22,000 Chinese tourists came to Thailand during the initial two days of the program, said Chai Wacharonke, government spokesman on their official Facebook page.
Thailand supposes 140.3 billion baht in tourism proceeds from the program, said Chai.
