During the official inauguration of the FIT (International Tourism Fair) in Buenos Aires, the work of Inprotur in achieving the arrival of 5 million tourists in the first 9 months of 2023 was highlighted.
On the official stage of authorities, Executive Secretary Ricardo Sosa was joined by Minister of Tourism and Sports Matías Lammens, FIT President Andrés Deyá, Secretary of Tourism Promotion Yanina Martínez, President of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism Gustavo Hani, Adviser to the Italian Minister of Tourism Deputy Gianluca Caramanna, Director of the Affiliate Members Department of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Ambassador Ion Vilcu, and President of the Federal Tourism Council (CFT) Sebastián Giobellina.
During his speech, Ambassador Vilcu highlighted Argentina’s rapid recovery in international tourist arrivals after the pandemic.
“Let me highlight Argentina’s performance, which has already received 5 million foreign tourists this year,” said the UNWTO representative.
FIT President Andrés Deyá, on the other hand, emphasized Inprotur’s work in all international promotion efforts. “So many presentations were made worldwide to surpass the arrival of 5 million foreign tourists, and that is very important to highlight,” said Deyá.
Deyá also praised the organization of the “Visit Argentina Connect” Business Rounds conducted by Inprotur in collaboration with the Argentine Chamber of Tourism.
Meanwhile, Minister Lammens underscored the arrival of the Michelin Guide in Argentina as “an achievement of Inprotur alongside Argentina’s gastronomy.”
