Experience Oxfordshire, the official Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP)1 and Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for the county, has welcomed education provider, Activate Learning, to its influential group of Ambassador Partners.
With offices and colleges in Oxford, Oxfordshire, across the UK and overseas, the Activate Learning group encompasses a wide range of educational provision and includes secondary, further and higher education, apprenticeships and workforce training, in addition to consultancy and learning companies. This strategic partnership with Experience Oxfordshire will help to highlight the importance of visitor economy and its value as a career whilst addressing the skills gap in the sector.

1/ In March 2023 Experience Oxfordshire was one of the first destinations in England to gain Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) status from national tourist board, VisitEngland. LVEPs have been established as part of the UK Government’s response to recommendations to reshape destination management across England, reducing fragmentation and bringing coherence to its destination management landscape. As an LVEP, Experience Oxfordshire is recognised as a high-performing organisation, supporting collaborative working both locally, through its network of partners and those with interest in the visitor economy, and nationally on shared priorities
