With the Coronation just days away, Cirium has revealed the number of inbound flights into the UK, and in particular, London, showing the scale of inbound tourists over the period.

The week (1-7 May):
- This week, 18,881 flights are scheduled to arrive into UK airports - equating to over 3.3 million seats
- This figure is 11% higher than the same period 2022, showing a spike in inbound flights
- Friday 5 May, the day before the Coronation, is projected to be the busiest day for UK arrivals this week, with 2,877 flights arriving into UK airports
- London airports alone are scheduled to see 10,246 arrivals this week - equating to over 2 million seats
- Across the UK, Heathrow Airport will see the largest number of arrivals (4,483), followed by Gatwick (2,535), Stansted (1,722), Manchester (1,663) and Edinburgh (1,036)

The weekend (5-8 May):
- This weekend, 10,807 flights are scheduled to arrive into UK airports - equating to over 1.9 million seats
- This figure is 10% higher than 2022, showing a spike in inbound flights
- London airports alone are scheduled to see 5,836 arrivals this weekend - equating to over 1.1 million seats
- Across the UK, Heathrow Airport will see the largest number of arrivals (2,561), followed by Gatwick (1,473), Stansted (992), Manchester (971) and Luton (592)
- This weekend, outbound flights are also set to peak as Brits take advantage of the Bank Holiday, with UK departures hitting 86% of 2019 levels.
