New tourism education group to look for industry views

 

The new Tourism Education and Skills Working Group will search for the sector’s opinions to aid in forming upcoming preparation of young folks in the segment.

The group, created in April regarding the Department for Education’s information on its evaluation of post-16 experiences, has declared strategies for a succession of business workshops to get feedback from the sector before conclusion of the year.

The choice was made at the group’s assembly on September 12 for thinking about the next strides to
obtain a substitute, additional travel requirement for young folks to access works in the segment.

This comes after the government’s plan to present T-levels, as part of broader education improvement,
which will see all current travel and tourism instructions at level 3 in England defunded from September 2026. No T-level is scheduled for travel and tourism.

At its newest seminar, the group decided on a set of essential subjects to be dealt by an upcoming level 3
travel and tourism requirements to make students ready for advanced studies or a vocation in the travel
segment.

The travel and tourism workshops to happen in the following few months will search for response on the
subjects requisite for training. The end results of these workshops will be delivered to the educational workers shaping courses to substitute those owing to end in September 2026.
