To boost tourism, fishing competition to be hosted

 

Get prepared for a thrilling competition related to fishing that is aiming to encourage tourism in the charming town of Bajengdoba. It will take place on August 5th, 2023, and will be arrangedby the Maslenga Fishing Group. This event will take place at the beautiful Dobakol in Bajengdoba, North

Garo Hills.

For the competition, the peaceful setting is the tranquil Bildeng Wari Lake. This lake is quite close to the National Highway. Also, the recently built petrol pump in Bajengdoba is yet another landmark. Anglers from all over the region have been requested to take part in it and spoil themselves in a day of exciting fishing experiences. The event will start from 9:20 am and will continue till 2:20 pm in the noon.

With a handsome cash prize of Rs. 5, 00,000/- for the first position, the stakes are high, followed by Rs. 3, 00,000/- for the one-becoming position, and Rs. 1, 50,000/- for the third prize winner. Moreover, 45 comfort prizes wait for the participants.

One of the organizers of the event, Breniar T. Sangma, while giving a special interview with Hub News, expressed the motivation of the group behind organizing this competition. The main target is to display Bildeng Wari and its natural charm and promote tourism.
