Spectrum of the Seas arrives in Vietnam with 4600 international tourists

The largest cruise ship in Asia, Spectrum of the Seas, arrived in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, with 4,600 international tourists on board.

The ship, with 16 stories and over 2,000 cabins accommodating up to 5,600 passengers, departed from Singapore, carrying travellers from France, Germany, Spain, Thailand, and Singapore.

Due to its size, the cruise ship couldn’t dock at Nha Trang Port and had to anchor in Nha Trang Bay, with smaller boats transporting passengers to the mainland.

During their visit, tourists explored popular attractions in Nha Trang, such as the Institute of Oceanography, Ponagar Tower, Truong Son Craft Village, Long Son Pagoda, and Dam Market. They also enjoyed mud bathing and cycling in the city’s suburbs. After the visit, Spectrum of the Seas set sail for Hong Kong.

Khanh Hoa Province has received a total of 10 cruise ships with 9,600 passengers since the beginning of the year. The province aims to attract around four million tourists this year, including 2.5 million domestic travelers and 1.5 million international tourists, with a target of generating VND21 trillion ($881 million) in tourism revenue. In the first half of the year, the province saw a significant surge in tourist arrivals, with 2.78 million visitors, including over 780,000 international tourists, marking a remarkable increase compared to the same period last year.
