PMI has opened a new office in Mumbai, India, according to Carl Long, SVP of PMI. PMI SOUTHASIA Private Limited will be led by Sharana Gowda Patil, general manager and Aman Gupta, director and partner of PMI South Asia.
“We’re delighted to again be partnering with Aman after many years of collaborating together, which dates back to 2010 when I was living and working in India on behalf of PMI,” said Long.
Patil was most recently associated with West Bridge Turnkey DPE LLP and was responsible for growing the company and its profitability through his superb handling of their procurement and e-sourcing. A keen negotiator at all levels of supply chain management, Patil managed a book of global vendors and managed projects from inception through completion.
Prior to his work at West Bridge Turnkey, Patil led multi-national and multi-product conglomerates operating in 14 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. He is a Ceramic Engineering graduate of PDA College of Engineering.
The PMI expansion is in response to the growing number of global luxury hospitality projects in the company’s portfolio.
PMI is one of the world’s largest volume purchasing companies for furniture, fixtures and equipment in the hospitality industry and is the leading procurement agent in the luxury hospitality, entertainment and gaming industry.
Founded in 1995, headquartered in Dallas and with an office in Las Vegas, PMI serves the luxury hospitality, large-scale entertainment and gaming industries with budgeting, sourcing, purchasing, job cost control, logistics and the installation of FF&E worldwide.
