Lately, the Tourism Authority of Thailand has come to a conclusion that the Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2023, the main B2B travel show in Thailand recently took place on 31 st May and continued till 2 nd June at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, would productively generate for the Kingdom around 3.4 billion Baht in tourism income.
The TAT Governor, Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, said that the number of sellers as well as buyers taking part in TTM+ in this year has exceeded the set target, as the number of overall business appointments did that was carried out all through the show. In terms of participants, it showed a strong growth in numbers that reflected positive bounce back in Thailand tourism.
At the show, sellers from Thailand and the Greater Mekong Sub-region were present. They were around 429, exceeding the target of 400 and signifying a rise of 61.53% from the year before. From around the world, buyers were 374 from almost 50 countries, exceeding the target of 350 and on behalf of an increase of 66.22% from the year before. More than 110 foreign and Thai media took part in the event as well.
