Celebrating its 50th year in the travel industry, Silversea Cruises, Mark Conroy will transition from his position of Managing Director to a senior advisor role in support of the cruise line’s sales team.
Conroy joined Silversea Cruises in 2016 and has played a vital role with exceptional results in the cruise line’s position as the market leader.
Reporting the importance of its new position to Massimo Brancaleoni, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Conroy will continue his expertise in his new position.
Barbara Muckermann, CEO of Silversea Cruises, congratulates Conroy by exclaiming that at the forefront of their U.S. operations, Mark has played an important role in their company’s growth in the market since joining in 2016.
He added that Conroy has an effective way of continuously building strong personal relationships with travel agents throughout the region.
Attributing to his qualities he also states that very few people possess Mark’s depth of knowledge, experience, and expertise in the luxury cruise segment; as he has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on their industry.
Muckermann defines Conroy’s role by stating that he would also support the leadership transition in the U.S. market.
Defining his work background he was a chair of the executive committee of CLIA between 2002 and 2004, and he was inducted into CLIA’s Cruise Industry Hall of Fame in 2013. In his current role, Conroy will report to Massimo Brancaleoni, senior vice president of global sales.
