The Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO) is happy to declare Nauru as the 16th co-signer of the Pacific Leader’s Sustainable Tourism Commitment (SOC). Being a sophisticated local promotion tool backing sustainable tourism growth, the SOC delivers a way for SPTO’s involvement to uplift sustainable tourism as a regional significance, with the help of multi-sectoral nationwide level creativities.
Duringinking the SOC, Hon. Russ Kun, H.E President of Nauru, stressed on the significance of regional tactics to common challenges and objectives like sustainable tourism growth.
Hon. Kun said that with years of regional commitment, they came to know that their Blue Pacific is robust when they stand united. This becomes even more imperative for matters of common interest that have the prospective to profit our region for future generations. With inking the Statement of Commitment, Nauru confidently holds its place among the 15 other Pacific Island countries, that have vowed their backing to SPTO in progressing sustainable tourism improvement in the Pacific, for benefittingtheir people.
