The Atlanta Hospitality Alliance (AHA), the peer-to-peer learning and networking organization for current and future hospitality investment leaders in Atlanta, has revealed its 2023 board of directors, including naming Amanda Chivers as president.
“Having spent nearly two decades in the Atlanta hospitality industry, Amanda will add her unique perspective to the role of AHA president,” said Paul Breslin, public relations chair, AHA and managing director, Horwath HTL Atlanta – USA. “Her local roots run deep, having worked with such Big Peach stalwarts as HVMG, Trimont Real Estate Advisors and the locally based Marcus & Millichap’s national hospitality group. Amanda’s current role at Crown Hospitality Consulting lends itself perfectly for her to take the helm at AHA.”
With more than 16 years of industry experience, Chivers is managing principal of Crown Hospitality Consulting, an Atlanta-based firm specializing in hotel asset management; construction and loan administration; operational review; and distressed asset turnaround in the upscale and luxury hotel sectors. She has overseen more than $1 billion in transactions representing virtually all the major hotel brands. She also oversees construction loan servicing of new-build development and conversion projects for several clients.
The new AHA board includes:
- Colin Mcdonald, VP, operations, IHG Hotels & Resorts—president-elect
- Will Woodworth, VP, investments, Peachtree Hotel Group—treasurer
- James Savier, VP, CBRE—secretary
“I’m looking forward to building upon AHA’s legacy of offering great networking and education, supporting the next generation of young hoteliers and shining the spotlight on a broader mix of exciting hospitality venues throughout the City of Atlanta,” Chivers said.
