To revitalize tourism, Japan hosts Neputa festival

A famous Japanese traditional festival with the name Neputa was recently arranged in the Aomori Prefecture of the Tohoku region in Japan to revitalize the tourism sector of the country. Beautiful traditional crafts were the prime attractions of the festival. At Tokyo Dome in Tokyo the Neputa festival takes place. Normally, this place is used for baseball games.

This year’s Furusato Festival in Tokyo is mainly focusing at reviving the tourism industry, the sector which experienced sluggish times due to massive COVID infection by inaugurating local traditional festivals as well as delicacies. Visitors can see attractions as well as enjoy food. In Hokkaido, potato butter is a very preferred food item. Together with salted squid, people enjoy eating it.

A visitor said that in Hokkaido, the potato is also called “Tsuki-Akari” and is characterized by its size and sweetness. The visitor also added that he recommend mashed potatoes with pure milk butter in Hokkaido. The visitor kept saying that potato butter can be topped with salted squid, cheese, hot pollack roe, salmon, and sea urchin. As COVID is almost reaching its end, he hopes that there will be more events like this.

Among foreign tourists, Japanese eel fish is yet another famous preparation. In Aichi Prefecture, Isshiki Town is popular as an eel farm in Japan. A visitor said that they would like to provide everyone with the spicy taste of eel and the delectableness of plump eel.
