ERA publishes its 2023 Yearbook

  • European Regions Airline Association (ERA) publishes its annual Yearbook, a detailed directory of its diverse membership, as well as a summary of the association’s activities in 2022 and insight into its main areas of focus for 2023.

The ERA Yearbook is an important and valuable reference guide to the role of ERA in the European aviation sector and its members as key players. In the context of global economic challenges, it focusses on the need to build back better and the importance of developing strong and sustainable regional connectivity in Europe.

In addition to sharing the association’s current and future priorities for the year ahead, the Yearbookfeatures the extensive advocacy work being undertaken by ERA and highlights its high-profile events that have allowed members to reconnect this previous year, following the effects of COVID-19.

The publication equally shares a regulatory review and the association’s environmental activities as the industry continues to work towards a more sustainable future, and includes the latest statistics analysing ERA’s airline members flights and capacity offered in 2022 in comparison to the previous year.

Montserrat Barriga, Director General, ERA said: “Whilst steady recovery can be seen following the effects of the pandemic, we must remain vigilant to the challenges and opportunities ahead, in particular, ensuring the roadmap to decarbonise is implemented in the short and medium term until aviation achieves net zero by 2050.

“ERA’s airline members provide vital connectivity and support for Europe’s regions, promoting social and territorial equality and cohesion as well as contributing to increased tourism, investment and job creation. We look forward to continuing our efforts in 2023 to promote this message and defend the airline industry’s role in providing sustainable connectivity to all regions of Europe.”
