International Society of Hotel Associations names Florida hospitality leader as new Chair of Board of Directors

BOSTON, MA – The International Society of Hotel Associations (ISHA) named Dannette Lynch as Chair of the ISHA Board of Directors during its annual meeting in December. Lynch is the Director of Membership for the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, Florida’s premier non-profit hospitality trade association.

“Dannette has been heavily engaged with ISHA for more than a decade and has been a leader in Florida’s hospitality industry for more than 40 years,” said ISHA Executive Director Christina Pappas. ““We know she will accomplish great things with ISHA this year as Chair, and we are looking forward to another great year as we advocate on behalf of lodging associations across the country.”

Other members of the ISHA Board of Directors include:

  • 1st Vice Chair: Michael Jacobson, President & CEO, Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association
  • 2nd Vice Chair: Chris Hardman, Director of Government Affairs & Membership, Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association
  • Secretary/Treasurer: Bill Elliott, President & CEO, Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association
  • Immediate Past Chair: Lynn Minges, President & CEO, North Carolina Restaurant & Hospitality Association

Members at Large include:

  • Lynn Mohrfeld, President & CEO, California Hotel & Lodging Association
  • Scott Joslove, President, Texas Hotel & Lodging Association
  • Susan Cohen, President & CEO, South Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association
  • Heather Singleton, Chief Operating Officer, Rhode Island Hospitality Association

Additionally, Carol Dover, President & CEO of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, will serve as the ISHA Representative to the AHLA Board and has praised Lynch’s ascension to ISHA Board Chair. “Dannette has been such an integral part of our success in Florida in promoting, educating, and protecting Florida’s hospitality industry. Her previous five years on the board and nearly 12 years of active participation with ISHA position her for great success, and we are so proud of her.”

“ISHA is honored to have such an accomplished group guide our association in 2023,” stated Pappas. “Under the leadership of the Board of Directors, the entire membership is fully equipped to produce another successful year.”

ISHA serves as a centralized conduit of information that supports its members’ efforts, particularly where state and local advocacy is concerned. “We have the collective voice that we use when we speak on national issues. Additionally, ISHA can link our members who need assistance dealing with a particular issue together with other member hotel and lodging associations that have successfully dealt with similar problems,” said continued Pappas.
