Sustainability Summit 2022 Highlights Report
In November 2022, close to 300 delegates - including 100 corporate travel managers - gathered in Brussels for GBTA’s first-ever Global Business Travel Sustainability Summit. Participants from 20 countries, including business travel professionals, policymakers, NGOs, and experts, tackled the most critical sustainability issues impacting the business travel industry. Through panel discussions, breakouts and an interactive session on climate action planning, the business travel community showcased their strong commitment towards decarbonizing the industry. GBTA Board Town Hall
Outlines Focus Areas for 2023
With its mission to establish and guide the focus and direction of the association, the GBTA Board of Directors hosted its second town hall for 2022 on 1 December to connect with members, partners and industry stakeholders and showcase updates and what’s ahead for 2023.
GBTA Board President, Denise Truso, was joined by presenting Board members – Mark Cuschieri, Maria Chevalier, Sue Spear, Sharlene Ketwaroo-Nanoo, Rosemary Maloney, Will Pinnell and Tammy Routh – for the virtual event including Q&A.
The session outlined how GBTA is aligning to forecasts for the industry’s continued recovery and how in 2023 GBTA will continue to deliver member value, drive global engagement, advocate for sustainable industry growth, curate events with care, and nurture its resources. Committee updates and outlooks for Sustainability, Membership, Volunteering, Education and Advocacy were also shared by the Board presenters.
