According to data from the Brazilian Association of Event Promoters, the sector moves more than R$270 billion annually and is responsible for approximately 4% of the National GDP. This year should show a growth of 60% compared to 2021.
For Fernanda Rorato, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) director of the venture, this accelerated heating of the market has already been seen in the resort since March, which directly impacted revenue. “Currently, the events sector already represents 35% of our revenue”, she emphasizes.
In recent months, the MICE department of Recanto Cataratas has also noticed a change in the behavior of customers when closing their corporate events. “Events, which were planned well in advance, are now worked out in just 30 days, between
closure and its realization. In this way, we understood that we needed to adapt to this new model, investing in training and increasing our teams”, explains the MICE director.
With an ideal space to host large events, the Maestra Convention Center, in Recanto, has a capacity for about three thousand people with 9,800 m² of built area. It has a large foyer for large receptions, allowing the space to have different environments being used simultaneously.
The Maestra Business Theater is a more intimate space, serving about 500 people in an auditorium and two more modular rooms that can accommodate groups of 10 to 250 people, with a foyer structure for coffee breaks and cocktails.
