On this occasion, Michael Niggermann who is the Chief Human Resources Officer and Labour Director of Deutsche Lufthansa AG said They cannot understand VC’s call for the strike. The management has made a very good and socially balanced offer. Despite continued burdens from the Covid crisis and uncertain departure times, the airline has tried to make it as convenient for the passengers as possible. The airline understands the complexity that arises for thousands of passengers.
Specifically, the Group has presented an offer with an 18-month term, in which pilots at Lufthansa and Lufthansa Cargo will receive a total of 900 euros more than the basic pay per month in two stages. VC has also been offered the alternative option of allocating all or some part of the volume elsewhere. The group has offered VC the opportunity to jointly conclude a new Perspective Agreement. This will help the entry-level pilots mostly.
