Shengwen Chua Appointed Director of Marketing, Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

 

Shengwen Chua has been appointed Director of Marketing at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. Familiar with the dynamic energy at the heart of the Garden City, Shengwen is brimming with insights and strategies anchored upon a solid revenue and sales strategy as well as cross-divisional exposure built over the last fourteen years.

Shengwen brings with him an international perspective having worked in destinations such as Beijing, Qingdao and Bangkok, before returning back to Singapore under brands such as The St. Regis, Hilton, Pan Pacific, and Conrad.

Prior to this, he had worked with Hilton Hotels where his talent and diligence put him on the fast track to growth – from management positions in Conrad Bangkok to Hilton Beijing and Doubletree by Hilton in Qingdao before returning to the shores of Singapore, where he focused on revenue management while at The St. Regis and Pan Pacific Hotel Group, before leading the commercial interests as commercial director at Hilton Singapore and Conrad Centennial Singapore. His leadership and people skills have made him a recognisable personality: a dynamic and enthusiastic mentor, he counts it his greatest success when he is able to empower and enable team members and colleagues to achieve their fullest potential.

A true blue Singaporean, Shengwen’s passion for hospitality began at the St. Regis Singapore where he was with the front office team as part of the pre-opening taskforce for six months, where he picked up the finer points of delighting guests through intuitive gestures and understanding the personal preferences of individual guests. This continues to inspire him daily and complements his penchant for data and talent for turning these into opportunities to deliver exceptional experiences. From serving guests at dinner to orchestrating a Kid’s Club, Shengwen’s exceptional knowledge of the luxury hotel market here in the city and beyond its shores positions him well as he leads the Hotel through the addition of a flurry of new spaces and experiences on offer.

If he is not poring over data sheets and charts, Shengwen can be found running along the green corridor at Bukit Timah and watching Excel tips on TikTok, while dreams of the best Uni Chirashi Don continue to beckon Shengwen and his hotelier wife Joanne back to Japan.
