MATTA Fair(R) entices with Langkawi as Malayasia’s favourite destination

 

The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) is honored to announce Langkawi as our Malaysia’s Favourite Destination for this coming MATTA Fair in September 2022 which will be held from 2-4 September 2020 at the World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur.


This 51st edition of MATTA Fair is much delighted to have industry players from Langkawi that will make their presence felt at the main entrance of Hall 5 with 16 booths operated by Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) to promote the Jewel of Kedah and its nature base tourism assets that will generally generate more tourism receipts.

Langkawi Pavilion will be adorned with visuals depicting the state’s attractions to boost the brand of Langkawi.

This significant partnership with LADA has shown their strong belief in MATTA Fair in promoting a wide variety of Langkawi tourism products to MATTA Fair visitors ranging from culture and heritage, their first UNESCO Geopark in Southeast Asia, collection of 99 thickly forested tropical isles, myths and legends historical stories and to many other land, water and sky activities for holiday seekers to look forward to go to Langkawi.

As the 1st state that are opened for the travel bubble post-pandemic, LADA has been very proactive in attracting more local and international visitors to holiday in Langkawi and has work closely with MATTA Members in putting tour and travel packages promoting Langkawi for sustainable and consistent domestic and inbound tourism growth.

Into the endemic phase, tourism players are ready to rebuild and revive the tourism industry to meet the demand of the consumers.

MATTA Fair will be a good platform for the tourism industry alongside the government’s support in opening the borders to International tourists.

In order to rebuild post-pandemic and to shore up our strength against future challenges, economic or otherwise, MATTA is looking to empower Malaysian stakeholders through the invention of new business models, to diversify or competitive edge by aligning with both private and public sector organizations.

This MATTA Fair has received strong participation from almost many state tourism organisations, namely Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Terengganu, Pahang, Sabah and Sarawak.


Besides, Tourism Malaysia taking the biggest booths area with 48 booths, we also have International Tourism Organisations namely, Korea, Turkey, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines, Taipei, Tohoku and Tokyo.

Visitors are encouraged to use public transport such as LRT and e-hailing services.

It is free admission to the Fair and it is open from 10am-9pm for the 3 days, Friday to Sunday.
