Many Voices, One Purpose: Welcome to the Next Era of GBTA

 

In the past few years, the world of business travel has dramatically evolved – creating dynamic transformations in the workplace, from the changing way people work, to new attitudes towards managing risk and improving sustainability. These shifts require active collaboration of a unified member base to influence policy, create solutions, learn from one another, and build our collective future as an industry. As the global business travel industry’s largest member-led organization, GBTA provides the community building, learning, and advocacy the industry needs to continue to evolve and thrive.


To step into the responsibility of this role, we had to rethink our purpose, how we operate, and who we serve. We undertook months of deep introspection and numerous conversations with many of you around the world – the buyers, suppliers, and partners that make up our business travel community – to understand what you value most in GBTA and what you want to see from the organization moving forward.

It is clear to us that what truly makes GBTA stand out from other organizations in our industry are the many voices of our members and supporters. Your expert insights, the hours you volunteer, and your engagement in our conferences, local chapters, education and development programs, advocacy and online discussions are the lifeblood of GBTA.

It is our role to provide the platform and opportunities for you to come together to learn from and inspire one another, develop as businesses and individuals, represent our common interests, and collectively move the industry forward. We are recommitting ourselves to be a member-led organization – to listen, learn, and evolve based on your feedback.

Yesterday, as the outward symbol of this evolution, we unveiled a new logo, a new look, and a new website to reflect these commitments. The new brand is the beginning of the next chapter for GBTA, and as we undertake this journey and adapt to the dynamic changes in our industry, we hope you will continue to travel with us to build our collective future.

 

 

We believe business travel is a fundamental force for good. Meeting face to face deepens relationships, fosters collaboration, and develops culture in ways that technology alone can never truly replicate. It drives growth for businesses, economies, and individuals. As the barriers and challenges facing business travel evolve and change, we must continue to innovate and set new standards as an industry, bringing many perspectives together under one roof through communitylearning, and advocacy.
