The coastline of Sardinia is a pristine location for foreigners. The spectacular vision has attracted the attention of many. Unfortunately, the visitors have not been able to respect the location. The rules and entry fees have been imposed to control the crowd on the beaches.
The famous pink sand beach is now available only as scenery from the boat. The restrictions on this beach have been implemented since the early 1990s when thousands of kilo of sand was found to struggle away.
In the island of Budelli, Spiaggia del Cavaliere is also counted with Spiaggia Rosa as an off-limit beach for tourists.
Two beaches in the archipelago of La Maddalena are now restricted. During summer Cala Coticcio and Cala Brigantina beaches welcome only 60 people on a day. Travellers are also required to book the access with a €3 euro pound. They will also get a guide along with the booking.
Several other beaches are also facing overtourism. Cala Sisine permits only 1600 people a day and Maria Navarrese is allowing 1300 people. Punta Melontis, Riu Trottu and Portu Sa Ruxi have also implemented pre-booking requirements. Each vehicle taken there will cost about €10, with an additional €1 per passenger while €3 is the rate for the Cyclists.
Stintino’s Pelosa beach is now accepting only a limited number of people. 1500 people are allowed in the beach till September 30th. Last year the number of foreigners reached 4000.
