Airport Dimensions is creating a revitalized experience at The Club airport lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The Club SEA is refreshed as it moves to a new, larger space, in the S Concourse of the airport, located above Gate S9 on the penthouse level. The space is designed to reflect the rich culture and history of Seattle, with the interior design’s ocean to forest-inspired color pallet providing guests with a genuine Pacific Northwest sense of place.
Boasting a floor area of over 8,100 square feet, the newly re-located Club SEA offers 165 seats – a 33% increase - as well as six seats at the lounge’s full-service bar. The Club SEA’s full-length windows allow guests to take in spectacular views of the airfield and the iconic Mount Rainier, whilst also filling the lounge with light. 11 museum-quality artworks are showcased, most created by Seattle-based artists as part of a shared commitment to support the local community by Airport Dimensions and the Port of Seattle, which owns and operates SEA. Moreover, the art acquisitions are further investments in the local community and diversity as the artwork comes principally from women-owned galleries.
The food menu features a variety of healthy, fresh options for which The Club is well known, including a ginger chicken rice bowl with stir fried vegetables and a superfood sunrise oatmeal, full of seasonal flavors. In the bar, guests can treat themselves to a variety of drinks options, including craft beer from Seattle-based Elysian Brewing Company and an array of specifically selected regional wines from the state of Washington.
Travelers are also able to take advantage of other amenities and services familiar to frequent visitors to The Club lounges including free Wi-fi, a hydration station, designated working zones with ample power supplies and shower facilities.
In line with Airport Dimensions’ corporate aspirations, The Club SEA operates sustainably through the lounge’s 100% plastic-free service with the removal of all plastic drink stirrers and straws, all of which are replaced with natural bamboo and compostable options. Furthermore, as part of Airport Dimensions’ ‘Pours with a Purpose’ programme, a portion of the profits from all wine purchases at The Club lounges is donated to a variety of good causes. These include charities working to tackle hunger across the U.S., providing support to veterans’ initiatives, and raising funds to support ovarian cancer screening.
Nancy Knipp, President Americas at Airport Dimensions, said; “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to expand our footprint at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The Club SEA’s new space offers guests an inviting and relaxed space that, in common with our other new-style lounges, will pay homage to the culture of the city it serves and the surrounding area, incorporating local elements throughout its design. The refreshed lounge is an outstanding example of how we at Airport Dimensions blend market leading expertise and cutting-edge facilities to enhance the travel experience of passengers. We very much look forward to welcoming travelers into the revitalized The Club SEA and we have no doubt it will provide them with a peaceful and pleasant experience before their onward journeys.”
Airport Dimensions’ acclaimed US market leading brand, The Club, has had a presence in Seattle for the past seven years. Located exactly halfway between London and Tokyo, SEA is the closest U.S. West Coast international airport for both Europe and Asia. A global gateway that connects cultures and economies worldwide, the S Concourse is SEA’s hub for departing international passengers.
There are close to 40 international destinations connecting the world to SEA. The airport recently welcomed brand-new services, including Qatar Airways to Doha, Alaska Airlines to Belize, American Airlines to London, WestJet to Calgary, Air Canada to Montreal, Finnair to Helsinki, and Turkish Airlines to Istanbul.
“The opening of newly re-located The Club SEA is a much-anticipated enhancement for the S Concourse with the return of international travel,” said Jeff Moken, Port of Seattle Interim Director of Aviation Business and Properties. “From the Pacific Northwest art and aesthetic of the space, the Port is deepening its investments in the Club experience for travelers. We are ready to welcome you at The Club SEA.”
The Club SEA is available to members of Priority Pass, the world's largest independent airport lounge and experiences program, along with LoungeKey, which are part of Airport Dimensions' parent company Collinson. The lounge is also available to all Seattle-Tacoma International Airport travelers looking for a complete hospitality experience through the purchase of a Club Pass online or at the lounge.
