PPDS brings advanced and effortless control and management to hotel displays with new cloud-based platform, Wave

AMSTERDAM - PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips digital signage, interactive displays, direct view LED and professional TV products and solutions, announce the launch of Wave – a brand new, state-of-the-art cloud platform, providing advanced and effortless control and management capabilities and opportunities for hospitality displays of today and in the future.

Accessible anywhere, AV and IT managers, and even non-IT focused staff, are able to view status (including screenshots), and access or assign precise information, details and controls to each display. Eliminating the need to go on site to debug and make changes and avoiding costly truck rolls and interruption of service. The Wave platform allows you to manage any number of accounts and displays across different locations, as well as making bulk updates, updating firmware, debugging screens, adjusting settings, adding basic content and receiving alerts – easily and reliably.

Ensuring optimum performance at all times, Wave allows you to proactively anticipate issues, reducing or eliminating potentially costly downtime and disruptions.

Unique compared with other display manufacturer solutions, PPDS Wave gives you complete control on display software updates allowing you to control onto which displays, and when, an update is installed, minimising downtime and maximising performance for better business outcomes.

Just the start
At launch, Wave will support Philips SoC signage displays with Android 7 and above, including Philips Q-line, D- Line, T-Line and C-Line digital signage displays. This will be extended to cover PPDS’ range of Philips direct view LED, interactive and videowall displays, as well as professional TVs, widening the benefits of Wave to a further spectrum of verticals, including hospitality, food and beverage, education, and others. This will allow one solution to support multiple platforms allowing integrators to control different display types with the same software and third-party applications to work across different types of hardware without custom development.

Franck Racapé, Head of Global Commercial at PPDS, commented: “The industry has spoken and with Wave, designed to work hand-in-hand with our Android SoC, we have left no stone unturned. PPDS has evolved from a provider of hardware to an enabler of total solutions, bringing a constantly growing choice of products, software and services to our partners. With Wave, we’re bringing product innovation, out-of-the-box, with a modern, fresh and highly intuitive user experience. With Wave, managing your displays has never been easier.”
