Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution that determines the procedure for the execution in 2022 of agreements providing for the acquisition, rental, leasing of aviation equipment.
If a foreign lessor company from an unfriendly country has a structural unit registered in Russia, payments will go to its account in a Russian bank in rubles - in an amount equivalent to the value of liabilities in foreign currency. In this case, settlements will be made at the official exchange rate of the Bank of Russia, established on the day the obligations are fulfilled.
If a foreign company associated with an unfriendly country works with Russian partners through a structural unit in a state that has not joined the sanctions, the payment will be made in the national currency of the state where this structural unit is registered, or in rubles.
The signed resolution was developed to implement the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 1 “On the temporary procedure for fulfilling financial obligations in the field of transport to certain foreign creditors”.
