The new Durango Casino and Resorts property will have 200 keys and include an 83,000-square-foot casino, 4 restaurant pool and event lawn and even 20,000 square feet of meetings space along with 40 electric vehicle-charging stations. The race and sports book will have indoor and outdoor viewing areas. The resort will be 5 miles south-west of the Las Vegas Strip.
The lobby will have a warm lighting, neutral tones and natural stone floors and walls. The lobby bar, which will open also to the outdoors, will include small nooks, sofas and several one-of-a-kind art pieces.
Red Rock Resort was the last property that Station Casino’s had opened in the on the valley’s west side in 2006. They have several notable suburban Las Vegas properties like the Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station. However, these properties have been shuttered since the pandemic’s outset in March 2020.
The Palms, a Station property, has sold it as the property was closed for a long time. It was located near the Strip and has been sold to San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority for $650 million last May. It is expected to reopen in the coming months.
