MIAMI, FL. - AC Hotel Miami Dadeland, South Miami’s newly opened hotel located next to Dadeland Mall, announced that it will now be offering a new contactless robot food delivery service in partnership with Cartken and FanFood. Designed to transport goods over short distances via a web-based ordering platform, AC Hotel Miami Dadeland is the first hotel to offer delivery by Cartken’s autonomous robots to its guests, joining the growing list of U.S. hotels that are ushering in a new era of robotic services and technologies.
Upon check-in at AC Hotel Miami Dadeland, all guests will now be provided with a QR code that directs them to FanFood’s website where they will be able to choose and order from participating restaurants within the Dadeland Mall Dining Pavilion. After an order is placed and prepared, a robot is dispatched to pick up the order and deliver it to the hotel’s lobby. Guests of the hotel will receive text message updates on their order as it progresses and are provided with a link to track the delivery in real-time. Each order is assigned a unique pin for the customer to use to unlock the robot's lid upon its arrival.
“We are excited for this innovative, forward-thinking partnership with Cartken and FanFood, and are beyond proud to be the first hotel partner to offer this new technology to our guests,” says AC Hotel Miami Dadeland General Manager, Adriana Vellojin. "Our guests' satisfaction is our number one priority, and to be able to offer a unique amenity that will make their stay more convenient and enjoyable is a win for us.”
Designed to optimize hotel service operations by delivering food from within the Dadeland Mall Dining Pavilion to AC Hotel Dadeland’s lobby for hotel guests, the delivery robots move autonomously, and can detect and avoid moving objects within a 5-meter radius which mitigates the risk of knocking into unsuspecting guests. The sensors also detect when the door is opened, allowing the robot to enter the lobby and wait for the hotel guest to retrieve their food from the robot’s cargo compartment.
“We are delighted to be collaborating with AC Hotel Miami Dadeland and FanFood to help shape the future of hotel guest experiences.” Said Anjali Jindal Naik, Co-founder and COO of Cartken. “This collaboration puts a premium on user experience. We’re thrilled to be entering into the hospitality vertical where our robots are being used to help strengthen guest convenience while extending the reach of the Dadeland Mall Dining Pavilion.”
This contactless food delivery service is currently available for hotel guests to use, offering menu options from Charley’s and Guaca-mole inside the Dadeland Mall Dining Pavilion. Additional restaurants are scheduled to join the list of restaurant partners later this month.
