Each year Radical Innovation invites bold thinkers to submit groundbreaking innovations that will change and enhance the future of the travel and hospitality industries.
For the second year in a row, Radical Innovation was a virtual event, as necessitated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the 2021 contest attracted an unprecedented array of talent from around the world, as hundreds of submissions were considered from more than 55 countries.
Radical’s judging panel of industry leaders selected finalists based on the creativity of their vision and the excellence of their proposed design, including its feasibility and potential to impact the industry.
“The Radical Innovation competition takes a visionary ‘crystal ball’ perspective imagining what hospitality concepts might possibly exist in the future,” said Radical Jury Member Simon Turner, managing director, Alpha Lodging Partners. “Our three winners are appropriately futuristic and radical in their creative thinking, yet have begun to intelligently address the fundamental issues necessary to consider practical implementation.”
