A recent Joblist survey found that despite increases in wages, the majority (60 percent) of job seekers are simply not interested in returning to the hospitality industry. Among workers with previous hospitality experience, 38 percent report that they are not even considering a hospitality job for their next position. And more than 50 percent of former hospitality workers who are looking for other work say that no pay increase or incentive would make them return to their old restaurant, bar, or hotel job.
What’s a hotelier to do? If previous staff members won’t return, finding new ones becomes a priority and Artificial Intelligence can help. AI can help hoteliers better understand what kind of talent they need and identify high-potential candidates for each job so as to reduce turnover rates and ensure job-fit for new employees.
At HT-NEXT 2021, Kerry Goyette, Founder and President of Aperio, will take the stage on Dec. 15 at 11:30am MDT to discuss how hiring managers can benefit from implementing technology that combines behavioral science and artificial intelligence to build a much more resilient workforce. Attendees will leave this session and want to immediately call their HR colleagues to share information on how and why the industry needs to rethink where it looks for candidates, how it recruits them, and the qualities it should be looking for in staff members.
This is a session that you don’t want to miss! HT-NEXT will be held live Dec. 13-16 in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the Fairmont Princess. To register and attend the event, visit: https://www.ht-next.com/.
