Will international travel get back to pre-pandemic levels

In the last 18 months, have you enjoyed any holiday? If so, there are higher chances that it was something domestic. But for many out there, they didn’t even get that option.

Facebook last week, threw one of their on this day memory posts at me. I had memories last time I went abroad. In few weeks I’ll definitely get a reminder of the last time I was on a plane and then the last time I left the state of New South Wales.

For a nation as mobile as ours, it’s strange to understand how our movements have got restricted. Am quite fortunate that in spite of not having left NSW, I’ve covered thousands of kilometres in the northern, western and eastern boundaries of the state. Once lockdown is raised, my next trip will be to travel down to Albury and travel along the Riverina Highway.

Regardless of restrictions on travel, I have not been sitting idle, longing badly for overseas. I’ve missed out some planned adventures for sure but they’re just postponed, not cancelled.

I’ve had a ball traipsing across NSW, restrictions permitting, visiting mates, national parks, and regional areas I’d always planned to check out but had never quite got around to.
