ATLANTA – Davidson Hospitality Group announces the appointments of Linda Schumann as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Carl Meyers as Director of Training and Organizational Development. As the department head, all people experience programs will report up through Schumann in areas such as compliance, recruitment & retention, employee & labor relations, diversity & inclusion, performance management & succession planning, benefits and leave management, payroll, compensation, and HR technology.

Carl will be responsible for full cycle talent management programming, including onboarding, training, performance and development across the entirety of Davidson’s portfolio. Schumann has more than 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles specifically in high growth organizations with leading edge HR practices. She partners with executive leadership to define, develop and lead global HR programs, processes and policies including but not limited to: talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, labor relations, training, retention, change management and safety/risk control, while ensuring that policies are in full compliance with all applicable labor laws. Previously, she served as senior vice president of human resources at OTG Management where she drove a culture of performance, results and positive employee relations. Earlier career highlights include vice president of human resources at Pyramid Hotel Group, and roles at both Pinnacle Hotels USA, Inc. and Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc.
Meyers brings more than a decade of experience in designing, developing, and leading talent initiatives in the hospitality industry. He recently held tenure at White Lodging Services, where he led the talent development function and created a robust catalog of industry-leading training and development programs including a comprehensive leadership development curriculum, performance management platform, skills training programs for hourly and management associates, and oversaw implementation and day-to-day administration of the company’s learning management system. Meyers holds his B.S. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Purdue University.
