HELSINKI, FINLAND - Hotels, restaurants, conference spaces, and other event venues in search of an easier, faster way to handle meeting and event bookings can now test out the world’s top booking automation software for free - maybe even for free forever.
MeetingPackage - which was named 2021’s Best Group Sourcing and RFP software by Hotel Tech Report - is a self-service, cloud-based, no-code platform that automates all M&E sales and operations. For guests, booking meeting & event spaces becomes a seamless part of the venue’s website experience. For staff, inquiries and instant bookings “magically” appear in day-to-day operational software.
“It hasn’t been an easy time for anyone in the industry,” says Joonas Ahola, the CEO & Founder of MeetingPackage. “But even before the pandemic, our hotel partners were showing us that the lead times for booking an event were reduced to days, and the average number of attendees was down. The need for automation in this space is pressing: there’s no other way to serve the customer while retaining margins and efficiencies.”
Traditionally, the hospitality industry has managed sales and operations manually, relying on lengthy email exchanges and RFPs. The COVID-19 pandemic has spotlit the need for more efficient sales processes: staying on top of change request emails is tough when many of your staff are furloughed. By eliminating the upfront costs, staff training, and complicated software integrations that typically slow down operational change in the hospitality industry, MeetingPackage aims to help the industry accelerate its pandemic recovery.
To that end, today MeetingPackage is announcing free, unlimited, all-access use of its software to all new clients - potentially for life. These hotels and venues won’t pay any annual licensing fee until they’ve received an equivalent amount of confirmed sales through MeetingPackage. There’s no time limit on this offer: if MeetingPackage does not provide enough new business, the venue can use it for free for a lifetime. The only caveat is that once that sales target is hit, MeetingPackage asks that the venue continue to use the software for one year, at an equivalent fee (in other words, a net zero cost). In a shockingly hard time for hospitality sales, it’s a win-win proposition.
“Allowing our customers to book meeting rooms directly online has been a huge saver in costs and time,“ says Björn Alvarsson, VP of Digital Sales & Marketing at Nordic Choice Hotels. “We’ve been using MeetingPackage for the whole pandemic and we’re constantly adding new properties to the software. We have been able to win the trust of our customers from competitors by providing them with an easy, available and customer-friendly booking solution within our own brand websites.”
MeetingPackage can be set up in minutes by venue staff. The software allows venues to handle their own space inventory, offline sales, reporting, and, if required, offers two-way integrations to major Sales & Catering and Property Management Solutions. Venues can also reach new customers via over 300 distribution channels, like CWT, which are directly connected to MeetingPackage.
