Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita Introduces New Two-Bedroom Bunk Bed Family Casitas

The new Two-Bedroom Family Casitas are optimally located near the heart of the Resort’s family offerings in the Oasis complex. Circled by The Lazy River and adjacent to the Kids for All Seasons and Teen Container facilities, the location of the new rooms is not only a children’s paradise, but also serves as the perfect home base for families or groups of families travelling together. Surrounded by lush greenery, the newly renovated rooms feature bunk beds, a spacious outdoor terrace, bean bag chairs and hanging nests, all accommodated in generous oversized indoor and outdoor living areas with plenty of space for spreading out – whether for Schoolcations or just fun and games.

“With families returning to travel, we wanted to create a fun, yet functional space to host them for Schoolcations, Workcations or just great family vacations,” say Erica Krayer and Ofelia Uribe, the Mexican interior designers who are also responsible for renovating all 177 Casitas and Suites on the property. “We wanted to nest this concept in Oasis, a building with larger units with more space on the terraces, and in the overall room. This gave us the opportunity to integrate larger furniture and more fun accessories such as hanging nests and bean bags to chill and relax.”

Uribe and Krayer have also integrated Mexican art into these new rooms: “We used decorative pieces made with volcanic stone and copper. On the most prominent wall, we installed a set of three ’plates’ woven with henequen, a fibre used by ancient Mayans, which is nowadays used by many indigenous groups in Mexico to create utilitarian items as well as art.” Krayer further elaborates, “While we were quarantining, we discovered Ensamble Artesano, a new virtual arts and crafts gallery that uses traditional techniques and contemporary processes to create rich textures and unique shapes.”

John O’Sullivan, Regional Vice President and General Manager for the property comments, “Punta Mita has always been a memory creator for families. We feel this new room concept celebrates this connection. Our Resort embodies the mi familia concept, and we feel these rooms are a further exploration of this theme.”

Stays in the new Two-Bedroom Family Casitas at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita start at USD 1,970 per night, including full access to all Resort facilities, one-way airport transfers, complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary parking and more.
