Flights to Corsica from Bordeaux available with easyJet from April

easyJet is encouraging Bordeaux residents to fly to Corsica - Ajaccio, Bastia and Figari - from April to October and to Sardinia - Olbia - from late June to early September.

> This extended flight programme will allow Bordeaux residents to enjoy the Isle of Beauty for longer and out of season.

> easyJet operates safe and carbon-neutral flights with an all-Airbus fleet

easyJet, the second largest airline in France, is enhancing its seasonal offer from French regions. The company is relaunching three popular seasonal routes from Bordeaux: Ajaccio, Bastia and Figari, available from April to allow travellers to enjoy the early season and until October for passengers looking for a late summer break.
Domestic tourism continues to enjoy high demand due to travel restrictions related to the pandemic. With these flights, easyJet provides quick connections for Bordeaux residents to attractive destinations that are less accessible by land, while promoting tourism in France at the same time.

easyJet will also be relaunching flights to Olbia with three flights a week from late June until early September, allowing Bordeaux residents to enjoy a sunny break in northern Sardinia.
According to a survey conducted by easyJet in January 2021 among 5,000 European consumers, including 1,000 in France, the latent demand for travel remains high. 65% of participants had booked or planned to book a leisure trip in 2021. In France, nearly 60% of respondents planned to travel “as much as possible” during the summer of 2021.

Reginald Otten, easyJet’s Deputy France Country Manager, said:

We have established an attractive programme for this summer and our crews are looking forward to welcoming our Bordeaux customers aboard our modern fleet. More than ever, we continue to connect French regions with destinations in both France and Europe, when permitted by the health situation.
During this unprecedented situation caused by the pandemic, easyJet continues to provide travel for its customers on carbon-neutral flights and maintains its environmental commitments. As such, we are very proud to be the only major airline in France operating carbon neutral flights with an all-Airbus fleet.”

Thierry Couloumies, Managing Director of Bordeaux Airport, added:

Since 2019, easyJet has become the airport’s leading airline company in terms of both the number of passengers transported and destinations offered. Next summer and with the progressive return of air traffic, numerous possibilities for planning holiday destinations will once again be available from Bordeaux. This summer, Corsica will be one of the most popular destinations among French passengers. We are pleased with the excellent prospects for the summer season. Health and safety will remain our priority to allow all our customers to travel at their leisure and with peace of mind.”

Tickets are available at www.easyJet.com or through the free mobile app.

A new fare is available for easyJet seats: Standard Plus. This fare offers advantages such as seats at the front, increased hand luggage allowance and Speedy Boarding. The new fare provides passengers with easy access to all the available options to enable them to choose the one that suits them best.

To offer greater flexibility for our passengers, easyJet proposes one fee-free flight change up to 14 days before departure, excluding the fare difference between the two tickets.
easyJet flights are operated in compliance with the strictest health requirements. These measures were implemented following consultation with the ICAO and EASA aviation authorities and in agreement with the competent national authorities.
