Tourists can now be spotted in Vangvieng, Laos. Vangvieng, a tourism town northern to Lao capital Vientiane, witnessed an increasing number of domestic tourists as the spread of COVID-19 in Laos has been curbed to a considerable extent.
Vang Vieng is a tourist-centric town in Laos in Vientiane Province and is about four hours bus ride north of the capital. The town lies on the Nam Song River. The most distinguishing feature of the area is the karst topography surrounding the town.
In the current times, the town has grown to a large extent due to the influx of backpacker tourism due to adventure tourism opportunities in a limestone karst landscape.
