Osman also said that the roadshow would work in order to attract global companies and tour operators.
Osman said that the event will feature Egypt’s various tourism destinations and its latest archaeological discoveries.
The roadshows would also shed light on the protective measures implemented at airports, hotels, archaeological sites and museums across Egypt, besides presenting an analysis of the country’s novel corona virus (COVID-19) situation and reducing number of cases.
Osman highlighted the plans that will be put into effect by the Committee for the promotion of cultural tourism in Luxor during the post-COVID-19 period. The plans aim to uphold Egypt’s cultural tourism, thereby boosting the long-suffering sector.
The Committee is also preparing to organize more roadshows in Scandinavian countries since the region’s markets are very important for tourism.
“We are also conducting a study on the reasons for the disappearance of some markets from Egypt and focusing on creative, innovative ways to attract them again to the country,” Osman said.
He stressed the fact that Eastern Europe has been proven to be an important market for Egypt since traditional markets are no longer providing their input.
Osman spoke about the need to undertake necessary preparations and celebrations for the important historical event represented in the opening of the 2,700 metre Rams Road linking the Luxor and Karnak temples. This celebration will be held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
